History of the EOP-project:

The idea to start a Comeniusproject called " Europe Online Portfolio" was created, when Rob Barkey attended the ESP-conference held in Järvenpää, Finland and presented there "Online Portfolio" in March 2005 together with Mr. Henk van Emmerik (CNA).
On his school, the Open Schoolgemeenschap Bijlmer (OSB), the "Online Portfolio"application had been implemented already in september 2004. This application created by Sander Gerritsen and Koen Rose (Gerrows) in cooperation with the Training Centre "Centrum voor Nascholing Amsterdam" (CNA), is used by more than 300 students.

The research and 2nd presentation have been held on May 17th in Slovenia during the seminar MIRK2005.
Due to the very active efforts of Mrs. Patricio, teacher from IES Pastoriza Arteixo, the Europe Online Portfolio was introduced at her school. IES Patoriza is also participating with the Amancio Ortega Foundation in the project "Ponte Dos Brozos".

It is in Arteixo, A Coruña in Galicia Spain where the preparatory started and was held from September 7th till Saturday September 10th. All participants came there together to perform the preparation for the kick off for this Comenius Schoolproject. The following countries were present: Finland, Germany, Holland, Scotland, Serbia & Montenegro and Spain.

Thanks to the staff, teachers and students of Goven High School in Glasgow, the complete EOP team was present for the official kick off. Students form Germany met their peer students in Scotland and together we created a "to-do" list to start November 1st. The official approval for the first project year from the National Agencies was recently received by all countries and every country is preparing all the means for November. Please visit the picture site and the main presentation made by Kevin Sweeney, Depute Head Teacher of Govan High School, who we ow many thanks for his cooperation and tangible efforts. Please take a glimpse at his presentation here
